🌍 November is Rotary Foundation Month

What truly sets Rotary apart from other civic organizations is the Rotary Foundation, the heart of our organization. It is what transforms goodwill into meaningful, lasting change. 

Since its creation in 1917, the Foundation has empowered Rotary clubs to take action both locally and globally. It connects community volunteers with a worldwide network of expertise, funding, and partnerships that expand the impact of every act of service. The Rotary Foundation funds sustainable initiatives in seven key areas: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, disease prevention, clean water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, community and economic development, and protecting the environment. Recognized among the world’s most trusted charities, the Foundation supports transparent, sustainable projects that empower people long after the work is done. From eradicating polio to providing clean water and training Peace builders, every contribution becomes part of something greater.

Here in South Pasadena, the Foundation gives our service greater reach and meaning. Through it, we are able to give grants to people in need in Los Angeles, build homes in Mexico, and support education and peace initiatives right here in South Pasadena but also across the globe all while strengthening the bonds within our own community.

 Guided by our theme, Peace Unite for Good, the Rotary Foundation reminds us that peace begins with connection, compassion, and collective action. It is what makes Rotary strong, our service impactful, and our mission enduring.
